NEW RELEASES BY NEGATIVOS AND BRIGHTON 64, LIVE IN BARCELONA, 1987. On March 17th 1987, national Spanish Radio 3 celebrated its annual award event at Barcelona’s famous Studio 54, with performances of top artists of that time such as Rebeldes, Duncan Dhu, El Último de la Fila or Ronaldos. NEGATIVOS were declared best new band of the year, and BRIGHTON 64 took the best song award for “La casa de la bomba”. Both bands performed four songs in front of a riotous crowd. 23 years later, the original recordings of that unforgettable evening have surfaced from the vaults and BIP BIP RECORDS is proud to release them in two vinyl EPs, with liner notes by legendary dj Jesús Ordovás. The BRIGHTON 64 record includes explosive performances of “La calle 46”, “Bola y cadena”, “Igual nos da igual”, and “La casa de la bomba”, while NEGATIVOS don’t get left behind with their classics “Graduado en Underground”, “Haciendo surf en mi mente”, “Moscas y arenas”, and “Sacerdotisa de la carne eléctrica”.
